Senators John McCain and Russell Feingold have been trying to get the Senate to at least debate their proposed reforms for 4 years... This year, they get their chance.. despite formidable opposition by the Republican leadership.... Their proposed Bill is not perfect... but the present system is so flawed that anything is worth a try...
and if they fail, we are left with the prospect that even modest reform is impossible.....
